Inspired by Laura Poitras’ 2014 award winning documentary, Citizen Four, The System is a collection of experimental layouts about the state of mass surveillance in the United States under taken by the NSA.  

The cover is designed to be cryptic and minimalist, only showing a sliver of Benjamin Franklin (a symbol of the federal government) peeking through a doorway.
